2009 Procurement of Standard Products

The Plan provides for procurement of supply for a two-year period beginning on June 1, 2009 and ending on May 31, 2011. The Plan proposes the procurement of twenty-four monthly on-peak and twenty-four monthly off-peak standard block forward products through an RFP. The quantity of each product reflects the forecasted average load and accounts for existing contracts for supply. These existing contracts include contracts extending to May 31, 2010 between ComEd and the winning suppliers of the September 2006 Illinois Auction. These existing contracts also include the financial swap contract extending to May 31, 2013 entered into with Exelon Generation Company.
